Facet joint injections are used to treat symptoms from facet joints such as stiffness in the morning, interrupted night’s sleep due to back symptoms and stiffness after prolonged sitting. It uses hydrocortisone to reduce inflammation in the facet joints
It is a day case procedure of 10 to 15 minutes.
The risks are infection, headache and the fact it may not work.
